Hey, I'm Brad, the proud founder of Southern Rub Company. My journey with barbecue and cooking began at the tender age of 5 or 6 when I first experienced the joy of preparing ribs with my dad and brother at home. Even as a first-grader learning to read and write, my declared favorite food was none other than Baby Back Ribs. My teacher initially thought it was a playful jest, but my love for ribs was genuine and unwavering.
Fast forward over 25 years, and that childhood passion has evolved into the birth of Southern Rub Company in 2023. It all started with my relentless quest for the perfect seasoning, cultivated through years of experimenting with ribs, pork shoulders, brisket, chicken, salmon, and everything grill-worthy.
Our flagship product, the Signature Rub, emerged from countless hours of refining flavors on the grill. Little did I know that my culinary experiments would lead to the creation of something special. When I began sharing pictures of my mouthwatering dishes with friends unable to taste the cooked meat, I started sending them the seasoning instead. To my surprise, requests started pouring in from their friends and beyond. That's when I realized I had a product people craved, and Southern Rub Company was born.
We officially launched our website in November 2023, and now we're setting our sights on expanding into retail store locations. Simultaneously, we're hard at work perfecting additional rub blends, crafting hot sauces, and experimenting with small-batch limited edition creations.
As someone with a regular background in corporate finance, auditing & assurance, and cybersecurity, starting a meat seasoning company wasn't on my radar. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled to share my personally developed seasonings—guaranteed free of additives, fillers, MSG, or gluten—with you. My vision is to grow Southern Rub Company into a household name, and I'm excited for you to join us on this flavorful journey.
